Left Panel V-Neck Cable & Crossed Cardigan

A V-neck line on a cardigan is a classic and flattering shape that is easily created by regularly decreasing the stitches as you work towards the top of the shoulder.

Right Panel Square Neck | Cable & Crossed Crochet Cardigan

This V-neck option for the Cable & Crossed Cardigan is a new addition to the pattern that was requested quite a few times. The classic neckline shape is the easiest neckline to wear and is flattering for all body shapes.

This neckline is created by working a modification to the Cable stitch to decrease the number of stitches worked, along with decrease stitches worked in the single crochet rows.

The gradually decreased stitches create a gentle V-neck shape that is aligned with the armhole shaping so it is not too deep and not too shallow too.

If you want to be in the know when a new section of the pattern releases, complete the form below and I’ll send you an email the minute the next section is available.

What size are you making?

Before starting either of the neckline options, your front panel should match the same length as the back panel up to the armhole shaping. From here, this pattern section begins by working the armhole shaping, and then the shaping for the neckline.

Take a moment to go through the pattern and note where the stitch counts for your size will be written – they will be in the following size order:

  • XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL)

Where (the dash)is used, this means no stitches are worked for this size and you should continue on to the next part of the pattern, as directed. You will find this used in the pattern sections for the sleeves.
