Simple Sock Crochet Pattern
This simple sock crochet pattern will help you stitch up socks without the need to understand how to turn a heel as these socks are simply a tube with shaping for the toes.

Silly Chevron Crochet Tube Socks
This quick simple crochet pattern will help you create a pair of socks whatever your crochet skill level! As the pattern name suggests, you simply create a tube and insert your foot – sock made!
To keep things a little interesting (and of course, snazzy) I’ve chosen to use a self-striping yarn that includes some bright colours. Using a self-striping or variegated yarn means you can focus solely on following the pattern and let the yarn do the colour work for you.
Recommended Yarn for these Simple Sock Crochet Pattern
I was kindly gifted some balls of Silly Socks Flower Pops by Hobbii Yarns to create a sock design and it was the first time using this yarn. The yarn is specifically designed to be used for sock patterns, with the fibre content designed to keep our feet fresh and wash easily too.
The yarn is an ultra fine (size 1) weight, that was a little scary to think about using, even for me – but really interestingly, working this yarn, holding 2 strands together is actually encouraged – and that’s exactly what we will be doing for this pattern.
The fibre content of this superwash yarn is 75% Wool and 25% Polyamide, with a whopping 400m on the 100g ball – less than 1 ball per sock is needed!

Here’s a heart-felt plea from a British maker to fellow Brits: how about providing British crochet and knitting terminology in prominence over American terminology?
All my printed/premium patterns offer 2 versions, one in UK and the other in US terms. US terms are more universally used across the world now.
I love this pattern! I can’t wait to dig through my stash or shop for some quirky sock yarn to make these. So very cool and mod.
