Front Panel Cable & Crossed Cardigan

Fiona Campion • Apr 05, 2024

The pattern for the front panels begins with creating the length to match the lower part of your back panel - once this is completed you will be ready to continue on to adding your chosen neckline option.

The front panel's make up the other bulk of the pattern, matching the length created in the back panel before you make that final decision of which neckline option to create.

This pattern takes you up to the armhole shaping before you continue on to adding your shoulder shaping and adding the neckline.

You can work both panels up to the same point - but there is no rush to get these sections done.

If you want to be in the know when a new section of the pattern releases, complete the form below and I'll send you an email the minute the next section is available.

What size are you making?

Remember to follow the same pattern instructions you followed for the back panel and check you are making the same number of repeats too.

Once you have completed this section of the front panel, if you lay it on top of your completed back panel, they should match in length up to the shoulder shaping.

Take a moment to go through the pattern and note where the stitch counts for your size will be written - they will be in the following size order:

  • XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL)

Where - (the dash)is used, this means no stitches are worked for this size and you should continue on to the next part of the pattern, as directed. You will find this used in the pattern sections for the neckline options and the sleeves.
